Herts Rugby

Last Sunday Welwyn RFC hosted a 3 way County U15 Development fixture involving Herts, Kent and Middlesex.
The U15 fixture was organised on a Regional Training Date to give the 'next tier' of Players the opportunity to gain experience representing the County.
This excellent scheme to promote girls rugby and to keep all those girls who this season were not selected for their regional squads was the brain child of Peter McCullough at Welwyn.

Peter very kindly invited over 2 of the Essex girls who were not involved at Regional and following an email on sunday night, we are pleased to say that both Amy and Mouse had a very good day.
Mouse was played as a scrum half and the report back from Peter was that she played really well.
Amy who is in her 1st season of rugby has already began to shine and has been a welcome addition to the Basford front row this season.

Well done to both girls and a big thanks to Peter for including them in the days programme.
