Regional Festival @Litchfield

Last Weekend saw teams from around the UK take part in a terrific weekends rugby at Litchfield Rugby Club.
On the Saturday the East Region U15's were in action and following some good rugby finished in 4th place.
The Regional team which included 11 Basford players

were narrowly beaten in the semi final 5-0 by East Wales and then faced last years winners "South" in the 3rd /4th place play off where they again narrowly lost 5-0

This was a great improvement on last year when East finished 6th.

On Sunday East Region U18's, including 7 Basford players

finished 3rd for the second year running. They were narrowly beaten 5-0 in the semi final against West Midlands who went on to win the Cup.
In the 3rd /4th play offs the East girls beat a well drilled East Midlands team.


Congratulations to all those girls from around the region who formed part of the two squads.
